Last reviewed: 11 October 20261. Introduction
This manual is published in terms of section 14 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA) and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). It describes the records held by Eagle Soar Gospel Ministries Global (“the ministry”), and how you may request access to them in terms of PAIA.
2. About the ministry
Eagle Soar Gospel Ministries Global is a Christ-centred ministry with campuses in Louisrus, Heidelberg and Ekangala (Gauteng) and Tweeling and Vrede (Free State). The ministry’s information officer is responsible for handling requests for access to records and can be contacted at info@eaglesoar.org.za.
3. Records that are available
The ministry holds records in the following categories:
- Public ministry information: vision and beliefs, campus details, programmes, events and the Lesedi Mega Crusade 2026 information published on this website.
- Teaching and ministry content: materials prepared for services, Bible studies and gatherings.
- Personal records: information voluntarily submitted by individuals through this website or otherwise, such as prayer requests, ministry enquiries, membership and church records.
- Administrative and financial records: contribution records, acknowledgements and other records required for the ministry’s administration and by applicable law.
4. Requesting access to records
Requests for access to records must be made in writing to the information officer using the contact details below. To assist your request, please provide your full name and contact details, describe the records you seek clearly, and state the form in which you would like the information. The ministry will respond to a valid request within the period required by PAIA (generally 30 days). Where the request concerns your own personal information, the ministry may require reasonable proof of identity.
5. Fees
Access to public and other records may be subject to the fees prescribed under PAIA, which cover reproduction and search costs. No fee applies to a request for access to your own personal information.
6. Grounds for refusal
In accordance with PAIA, the ministry may refuse a request for access to a record where, for example, disclosure could harm the privacy of another person, compromise confidentiality, or where the release of the record is otherwise protected by law. Any refusal will be communicated with reasons and information about how to challenge the decision.
7. Personal information and POPIA
Personal information is collected only for the purposes for which it was provided and is processed in line with POPIA. Details of how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected, and the rights you have, are set out in the ministry’s Privacy Policy.
8. The Information Regulator
If you are not satisfied with the ministry’s response to your request, you may approach the Information Regulator (South Africa), whose contact details are published on the Regulator’s official website.
